Sugar Cane is the flagship denim and workwear label of Toyo Enterprise, the Tokyo manufacturer founded in 1965 to make clothing for US military bases in Japan. Launched in 1975 when Toyo pivoted to the domestic market, the brand produces faithful reproductions of mid-century American jeans, jackets and work shirts. It is best known for proprietary selvedge fabrics blending cotton with Okinawan sugar cane fiber, and for cuts referencing vintage Levi's patterns, including the 1947, 1966 and Okinawa jeans.
