SUPER YAYA

Super Yaya is the label of Rym Beydoun, a Lebanese-Ivorian designer raised in Abidjan and trained at Central Saint Martins, who interned at Laurenceairline and the Uniwax wax-print factory before launching the brand in 2015. Collections pair Abidjan-sourced textiles with loose, layered silhouettes: elasticated one-shoulder tops, tunic dresses, wide trousers and slogan T-shirts reading "100% Afrocosmic." Beydoun restarted the label in 2023 after a pandemic hiatus, combining a direct webshop and made-to-order commissions with wholesale accounts including SSENSE, and has said she plans stores in Abidjan and Beirut.
