Swatch
Swatch makes inexpensive Swiss quartz watches in plastic and Bioceramic cases, sold mainly through its own stores. Founded in 1983 by Ernst Thomke, Elmar Mock and Jacques Müller as a response to the quartz crisis, it uses sealed, slim, brightly graphic designs. It operates as a subsidiary of the Hayek family-controlled Swatch Group, led by Nick Hayek Jr. Recent work leans on cross-brand collaborations, including the Bioceramic MoonSwatch with Omega, Scuba Fifty Fathoms with Blancpain, and a 2026 Audemars Piguet "Royal Pop" pocket watch that resold above retail.
