The Darkside Initiative

The Darkside Initiative is a streetwear and footwear retailer founded around 2000 by Colin Miller, operating from a 2,000 sq ft store at 435 E Burnside Street in Portland, Oregon, alongside its webshop. Opened in 2021, the Portland space was the company's first location outside California and uses industrial grey walls and woodgrain panels. The buy leans Japanese and technical: Acronym, Veilance, Stone Island and Shadow Project, WTAPS, Neighborhood, Nanamica, RATS, Wacko Maria, plus Nike, Vans Vault, Converse and Carhartt WIP. Its earlier San Francisco shop on Valencia Street is listed as closed.
