Torrid

Torrid is an American plus-size women's retailer designing apparel in sizes 10 to 30, covering denim, tops, dresses, intimates, swim, activewear and accessories with fit as its stated priority. Launched in 2001 as a Hot Topic offshoot, it separated in 2015 and listed on the NYSE as CURV in 2021, with Sycamore Partners keeping majority voting control. Under CEO Lisa Harper the company is cutting its mall footprint, closing roughly 150 stores through its 2025 store optimization program, while expanding five higher-margin sub-brands aimed at younger customers.
