What to know about Veilance

Mountaineering construction, cut as tailoring

It is Arc'teryx's city line: blazers, trousers and shells built with GORE-TEX, laminated nylons and taped seams rather than conventional suiting methods.

Everything technical is hidden

Concealed closures and muted matte palettes keep the engineering out of sight, which is why the clothes read minimalist rather than obviously techwear.

Newly run as its own brand

In January 2025 owner Amer Sports gave Veilance a standalone P&L, a dedicated GM and creative director, and a first Paris Fashion Week presentation.

Brand facts

Veilance is the urban technical label of Canadian outdoor company Arc'teryx, launched in October 2009 to bring mountaineering construction into city clothing. Based in Vancouver, it builds minimalist blazers, shells, trousers, knitwear and bags from GORE-TEX and laminated nylons, using taped seams, concealed closures and muted matte palettes. Owner Amer Sports gave Veilance a standalone P&L and leadership team in January 2025, appointing Marissa Pardini general manager and Ben Stubbington creative director, and staged the brand's first Paris Fashion Week presentation that year. Stocked by SSENSE, Slam Jam and Tres Bien.
