nanamica is a Tokyo label founded in 2003 by Eiichiro Homma, previously of Goldwin and Helly Hansen Japan, with designer Takashi Imaki. Its name means "house of the seven seas," and collections apply sailing and outdoor construction to everyday clothing: GORE-TEX and ALPHADRY shells, Cruiser and Dock jackets, wool-blend Sixth Sense hoodies and relaxed trousers in muted navy and grey. Homma also directs The North Face Purple Label, produced with Goldwin. Sold via nanamica.com, Tokyo stores and retailers including SSENSE and Mr Porter.
