Accessorize is a London-based high-street accessories retailer founded in 1984 by Peter Simon, who opened its first shop in Covent Garden next to his clothing label Monsoon. It sits alongside Monsoon in the Monsoon Accessorize group and sells costume jewellery, bags and purses, hair accessories, scarves, hats, sunglasses and beach and travel pieces at pocket-money prices, with colourful, holiday-leaning prints and embellishment. The business entered administration in June 2020 and closed around 35 UK stores, and now trades online, through concessions and franchised stores overseas.
