British lifestyle label built on vintage-inspired floral, polka-dot and novelty prints applied across oilcloth totes, backpacks, laptop cases, cotton dresses, pyjamas, aprons, bedding and kitchenware. Founded by Cath Kidston in Holland Park, London in 1993, the company collapsed into administration twice before Next plc bought the brand name, domains and intellectual property from administrators for £8.5m in March 2023. Next relaunched it online and inside Next stores, then opened a standalone shop at Westfield London in October 2024. Licensing deals with Beanstalk partners extend the prints into North America from 2026.
