What to know about Arpenteur

Arpenteur is a Lyon menswear label founded in 2011 by cousins Marc Asseily and Laurent Bourven, whose name is the old French word for surveyor. The brand reinterprets mid-century French workwear, marine and sportswear archetypes — chore jackets, deck coats, knitwear — in traditional European cloths, with production in specialist French factories and an in-house Guillotière atelier handling patterns and prototyping. Each season is illustrated by clear-line comic artist Régric. Sub-lines include Arpenteur Tricot and Arpenteur Art, plus footwear collaborations with Paraboot. It remains independent and founder-run.
