Baggu
Baggu makes casual bags and accessories at accessible prices, founded in 2007 by Emily Sugihara with her mother Joan Hall Sugihara and family friend Ellen Vanderlaan. It launched with an $8 ripstop nylon reusable shopping bag that folds into a flat pouch, a design that remains largely unchanged and still anchors the range. The independent, Sugihara-led company is based in San Francisco and operates a small retail network alongside its site, extending the format into crescent shoulder bags, puffy laptop sleeves, totes and travel pouches in loud prints and recycled fabrics.
