Camiel Fortgens is the eponymous Amsterdam label the Design Academy Eindhoven graduate founded in 2014, now showing unisex collections on the Paris men's fashion week calendar. The brand rebuilds archetypal garments — suiting, hunting jackets, jeans, T-shirts, cable knits — at deliberately off-kilter proportions, leaving raw edges, visible stitching and handwork exposed as finished detail. Palettes stay muted and fabrics tactile, with production largely in Europe. Fortgens remains independently owned, won a Dutch fashion stipend in 2024, and has expanded into womenswear plus collaborations including footwear with Stepney Workers Club.
