Carol Christian Poell

Carol Christian Poell is a Milan label founded in 1995 by Austrian-born designer Carol Christian Poell with partner Sergio Simone. It produces small runs of tailoring, leather outerwear, footwear, bags and accessories built around material experiments: horse and kangaroo leathers, hand-poured rubber soles, open and self-edge seams, reversible and spiral-cut patterns. Drip and Tornado boots and object-like jackets anchor the output. The house skips runway calendars and advertising, distributing through a few dozen appointment-based stockists and monobrand shops, with recent releases grouped under the ongoing IN BETWEEN series.
