Rocawear shares FUBU's bold streetwear style and targets a similar urban demographic.

FUBU — short for "For Us, By Us" — is an American streetwear label founded in 1992 by Daymond John with childhood friends J. Alexander Martin, Carl Brown and Keith Perrin, sewing product out of John's mother's house in Hollis, Queens. It grew from hand-made tie-top hats into hockey jerseys, sweatshirts, denim, tees and caps marked with oversized block logos, reaching roughly $350 million in sales at its 1990s peak alongside hip-hop's mainstream rise. John still fronts the brand, which now sells nostalgia-driven logo apparel through licensing and capsule releases.
