Fumito Ganryu is the eponymous Tokyo label of a designer who spent 2004–2017 inside Comme des Garçons, starting as a patternmaker for Junya Watanabe and then designing the Ganryu diffusion line from 2007. He left in 2017 and debuted the independent brand at Pitti Uomo in January 2018, later moving onto the Paris calendar. Collections are genderless and avant-garde, hybridising technical outerwear, workwear and sportswear with unusual proportions. The label sells direct through its own Japanese online store, which also carries a lower-priced Red Label, and has shipped Spring/Summer 2026.
