Instrmnt
Instrmnt Applied Design (I-AD) is a Glasgow studio founded by Pete Sunderland and Ross Baynham, working in a stripped-back industrial idiom drawn from mid-century instrumentation. It debuted with the Kickstarter-funded Instrmnt 01 watch and now builds Swiss quartz and mechanical pieces, including a simplified dive watch with unidirectional bezel, sapphire caseback and Luminova markings, plus the monochrome K Series on Italian vegan rubber straps. The range extends to Glasgow-assembled umbrellas in Japanese fabric and cast homeware trays. Work has been shown at the V&A and London Design Festival.
