LABUTA

Labuta is a Portuguese footwear label based in Leiria, started by three friends and named after the Portuguese word for hard graft. Its designs reference traditional trades — the Miner Boot is built with a Goodyear welt — and use vegetable-tanned leather processed with orange blossom, jasmine and other plant extracts rather than chemicals. Beyond boots and shoes, the brand makes bags, backpacks, wallets and denim, and offers resoling and reconstruction. Boots typically retail around 300-350 euros, sold direct and through Portuguese stockists.
