LRG Clothing
LRG (Lifted Research Group) was started in 1999 by Jonas Bevacqua and Robert Wright, who met through a friend's garage band and built the label around hip-hop, skateboarding and fine art. It sells graphic tees, fleece, hats and denim carrying the "underground inventive, overground effective" tagline, and has worked with skaters and musicians including Kanye West, Drake, Travis Scott, De La Soul and The Roots. Bevacqua died in 2011. Licensed apparel firm Mad Engine acquired the brand in April 2017 and continues to run it, marking LRG's 25th anniversary in 2024.
