MIZIZI, Swahili for "roots," is a streetwear label founded in 2015 by Paakow Essandoh and operating as MIZIZI International. It positions itself as a brand for the African diaspora, built around country baseball jerseys carrying national names, flags and crests for African and Caribbean nations, plus hoodies, tees and headwear. The brand secured a licensing deal with Marvel Productions tied to Black Panther and has released South African jerseys honouring the Springboks, while pursuing sport partnerships and wider global distribution under its #StayRooted tagline.
