Portland Gear
Portland Gear is an independent Oregon label founded by Marcus Harvey, who launched it on Black Friday 2014 after building the @portland Instagram account and selling "P"-logo tees and hats from a Volkswagen camper. The line now centers on weatherproof travel bags and luggage alongside hoodies, tees and caps carrying the P-in-Oregon mark. Harvey remains founder and CEO of the roughly 50-person, still founder-owned company. Retail includes a downtown Portland flagship, a Portland International Airport kiosk and a Bend Old Mill District store.
