Rocky Mountain Featherbed builds heritage western down outerwear, defined by the seamless single-piece leather sawtooth yoke on its Christy Vest and Christy Jacket. Founded in late-1960s Jackson Hole, Wyoming by Francis "Cub" Schaefer for cowboys, skiers and backpackers, the label closed in the 1980s and was revived in 2005 when Tokyo's 35 Summers Co., Ltd. licensed the name. Production now runs from a Nihonbashi-area Tokyo factory, pairing nylon shells, mouton collars and brass studs. Vests retail around $600-700, with collaborations including Buck Mason, Warehouse & Co. and WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO.
