SAYAKA DAVIS is a New York womenswear label founded in 2012 by Japanese designer Sayaka Tokimoto-Davis, built on a concept of clothing as self-nourishment. Collections pair clean, fluid silhouettes with tactile fabrics: crinkled cotton shirting, draped dresses, knitwear, denim and jewelry, informed by the Japanese idea of spacious beauty. The label prioritizes plant-based and low-impact materials such as organic cotton and responsible wool, producing most garments in Japan and knits in Japan, Peru, India and China. It remains independently owned, selling direct and through specialty retailers including Namu Shop. Mainline pieces typically run $200-400.
