Sperry is the American footwear label Paul A. Sperry founded in 1935 after developing the first non-slip siped rubber sole, inspired by his dog's traction on ice. The Authentic Original two-eye boat shoe remains the core product, joined by premium Gold Cup leather editions, canvas sneakers, duck boots and sandals. Wolverine Worldwide sold Sperry to Authentic Brands Group in January 2024 for roughly $130 million, with the Aldo Group licensed as North American operator and global footwear design and distribution partner.
