Tatonka
Tatonka is a family-run German outdoor equipment maker headquartered in Dasing near Augsburg, led by second-generation owner and managing director Andreas Schechinger. It builds trekking and travel backpacks, duffels, tents, tarps, cookware, first-aid kits and accessories, plus tactical sister brand Tasmanian Tiger, founded in 1999. Products are developed in Dasing and sewn in the company's own SA8000-certified factories in Vietnam, which Tatonka opens to visitors under its Open Factory policy. Sustainability work centres on traceability and the GREEN by Tatonka line; the bison logo references the film Dances with Wolves.
