Thorogood

Thorogood is the work-boot division of Weinbrenner Shoe Company, founded by Albert Weinbrenner in 1892 and headquartered in Merrill, Wisconsin, where it has been employee-owned since 2000. It builds Goodyear-welted safety, wildland firefighting and uniform boots, plus the American Heritage line — moc-toe, plain-toe and logger styles on white wedge or Vibram soles — that crossed over into heritage-menswear rotations. In 2025 its licensed Thorogood Workwear arm added a USA-made apparel collection and a limited Western Stars & Stripes boot, and the company joined the US Footwear Manufacturers Association.
