Androgynous streetwear outfit ideas

You don't need everything shown. Each outfit lists its key pieces, a swap from a normal wardrobe and a cheaper route to the same look.

What makes it read as androgynous streetwear

  2. 2Middle layer. A plain hoodie or tee under the coat, in one colour, so the shapes read first.
  3. 3Waist. Low to mid rise keeps the line long. Leave the top layer untucked.
  4. 4Hem. Wide legs should touch or cover the shoe. The extra length is part of the cut.

How androgynous streetwear got here

2005. Telfar starts in New York. Telfar Clemens started Telfar in New York in 2005 and describes it as a unisex line, under the tagline "It's not for you — it's for everyone."

2011. Eckhaus Latta is founded. Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta founded Eckhaus Latta in 2011. Its shop today is one line, not split into men's and women's.

2017. Telfar wins the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. In November 2017 Telfar took the top prize of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, for a label built on unisex garments.
