NO CONTROL AIR is a Japanese label founded by Itaru Yonenaga, who studied architecture before designing clothing. Based in Osaka, it builds unisex, city-oriented wardrobes from technical synthetics — matte polyester twills, reverse-twill double cloth and stretch typewriter cloth — cut into roomy, drapey patterns. Recurring pieces include mao-collar shirts, kimono-collar coats, wide trousers, jumper skirts and A-line skirts. The brand prioritises pattern-making, comfort and easy-care durability over graphics or logos, and distributes largely through independent Japanese stockists such as miyagiya and VA-VA.
