What to know about 1205

1205 was the London label of Brazilian-born designer Paula Gerbase, launched in 2010 after her Savile Row training at Hardy Amies and Kilgour. It built a cult following for austere unisex tailoring: sharp-shouldered coats, oversized poplin shirts, wide trousers and technical outerwear in muted greys, navy and black, shown with men's and women's collections together. Backed by BFC NewGen in 2015 and nominated for a British Fashion Award, the brand ceased operations in 2016. Gerbase later led John Lobb and became creative director of Georg Jensen in November 2024.
