Ariat International makes performance footwear and apparel for equestrian, Western, work and outdoor customers. Stanford classmates Beth Cross and Pam Parker founded it in 1993, applying athletic-shoe engineering to riding boots via its ATS stability footbed technology. The line spans cowboy and English riding boots, composite-toe work boots, jeans, and insulated outerwear, supported by rodeo and country-music sponsorships. The Fisher family and management have controlled the company since a 2012 buyout; former Levi's COO Liz O'Neill took over as CEO in 2026, with co-founder Cross becoming executive chairman.
