BATONER is a Japanese knitwear label launched in 2013 in Sagae City, Yamagata Prefecture, by Okuyama Meriyasu, a knitting factory established in 1951. The brand controls the full process in-house, from yarn selection and dyeing to knitting and finishing, using wool, cotton, cashmere, alpaca and mohair. Its Signature Series crewnecks, driver knits and zip vests pair sturdy anti-pilling yarns with relaxed, minimal silhouettes. Collaborations include nanamica down cardigans.
