What to know about CIOTA
Suvin cotton is the whole thesis
Nearly everything uses rare Indian Suvin, an extra-long-staple cotton with a silk-like luster and soft hand, which is why designs stay plain enough to show it.
The factory owns the brand
CIOTA comes from Shiota, an Okayama sewing and textile manufacturer, so fiber sourcing, fabric development, weaving, design and sewing all happen in-house.
Relaxed heritage shapes, no logos
The range is small and repeatable: high-rise Suvin denim, sweats, shirting and outerwear cut in loose vintage-derived silhouettes rather than seasonal statements.

Brand facts
CIOTA is a Japanese apparel label launched in 2019 by Shiota Co., Ltd., an Okayama sewing factory and textile manufacturer, with designer-director Masakazu Arasawa. The brand controls every stage in-house: raw material selection, fabric development, weaving, garment design and sewing. It works almost exclusively with rare Indian Suvin cotton, an extra-long-staple fiber prized for silk-like luster and soft hand. Collections stay deliberately minimal, letting fabric lead: high-rise Suvin denim, sweats, shirting and outerwear in relaxed heritage silhouettes. CIOTA operates its own Tokyo store in Shibuya and stocks specialist retailers worldwide.
