Coach is a New York leather goods house founded in 1941 as a Manhattan workshop making hand-finished wallets and billfolds. It is now the flagship brand of Tapestry, Inc., the accessible-luxury group that also owns Kate Spade New York. Stuart Vevers leads design, pairing glovetanned leather bags such as the Tabby and Rogue with Signature C jacquard, varsity outerwear and Americana-tinged ready-to-wear. The line-up spans footwear, apparel, small leather goods and fragrance, sold through retail stores, outlets, department stores and e-commerce, plus the circular-design offshoot Coachtopia.
