DEVOA is the Osaka-based label of designer Daisuke Nishida, who launched it in 2005 after working as a sports instructor. That background shapes the clothing: anatomical patterning, curved seams and articulated sleeves built around how the body moves. Collections favour muted ecru, grey and black in Japanese-milled cottons, linens, wools, technical blends and treated leathers, spanning shirts, cardigans, tailored outerwear and footwear. Nishida avoids rigid seasonal themes, instead refining a consistent pattern block each season, and sells through avant-garde stockists in Japan, Europe and North America.
