The Viridi-Anne is a Tokyo label founded in 2001 by designer Takahiro Miyazaki. It works in a dark, pared-back register associated with Japan's avant-garde menswear scene: predominantly black and charcoal palettes, layered silhouettes, asymmetric cuts and heavy use of garment dyeing and washing. The range centres on outerwear, wide trousers, drapey shirting and knitwear in cotton, linen, wool and coated technical cloths. Collections are produced in Japan and sold through independent avant-garde stockists and select global e-tailers.
