duckfeet
Duckfeet makes wide, foot-shaped leather shoes and boots under Danish parent company Wiema Sko, founded in 1975 in Skærbæk by Inga and Claus Wiechmann; Claus had previously worked at Ecco in Bredebro. The line uses vegetable-tanned leather, natural crepe and rubber soles, and stitched construction, with styles named after Danish towns such as Odense, Roskilde and Aarhus. Production moved from Denmark to Poland in the 1980s and remains there. Wiema Sko was the only maker of "Danish duckfeet" to survive the 1980s downturn.
