ERNEST W. BAKER

Ernest W. Baker is a Porto-based menswear label run by American designer Reid Baker and Portuguese designer Inês Amorim, who met studying fashion design at Domus Academy in Milan. It is named after Baker's grandfather, a Detroit advertising man who acts as the house muse. The pair reinterpret 20th-century wardrobe classics — flared tailored trousers, wide-lapel suiting, leather outerwear, printed shirting and knitwear — through narrative collections that mix 1970s Americana and Studio 54 nightlife with European tailoring. Semi-finalists for the 2018 LVMH Prize, they show during Paris Fashion Week.
