Outlier NYC

Outlier is a Brooklyn-based technical clothing label founded in 2008 by Abe Burmeister and Tyler Clemens, who still run it independently with Burmeister as CEO. It sells direct through its own site in small, frequently sold-out drops rather than wholesale. The range covers pants such as Slim Dungarees and Futureworks, New Way Shorts, Ultrafine Merino tops, shells, bags and accessories. Design is minimal, largely unbranded and monochrome, with fabric development — four-way stretch nylons, merino, linen blends — driving each release.
