Y-3 is a joint label between German sportswear group adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, launched in 2002 and named for Yohji and adidas' three stripes. It pairs Yamamoto's draped, largely black tailoring with adidas engineering: oversized layers, technical outerwear, tracksuits and sneakers built on adidas platforms. Collections are shown on the Paris fashion schedule. Recent output includes the Spring/Summer 2025 Adizero running range of lightweight performance apparel and footwear, distributed through adidas channels, the CONFIRMED app and select retail partners.
