Angelic Pretty

Angelic Pretty is a Harajuku-based sweet lolita label founded in 1979 by Hiroko Honda as "Pretty" and renamed Angelic Pretty in 2001. Designers Maki and Asuka build collections around original printed fabrics — sweets, carousels, stars and jewels — cut into jumperskirts, one-pieces, blouses and skirts trimmed with lace, ruffles and bows, plus matching headbows, socks and bags. The house popularized custom prints within lolita fashion and helped set the sweet lolita silhouette. It operates Japanese boutiques, overseas retail including Paris, and ships internationally through its own webstore.
