Folk

Folk is a London contemporary label founded in 2001 by Glaswegian designer Cathal McAteer, who still leads the business. It makes relaxed menswear and womenswear built around textured fabrics and quiet detailing: soft-collar and Archive shirts, pleated Assembly and barrel-leg trousers, unstructured blazers, chunky knitwear, jersey and caps. Production leans on linen, cotton canvas, corduroy and wool, with corozo buttons and traceable cotton. Folk runs stores on Lamb's Conduit Street and in Soho, plus wholesale at END., Mr Porter, Liberty and Goodhood, and operates the John Lewis sub-brand It's All Good Folk.
