Self-Care Originals

Self Care Originals is a Melbourne label founded in 2018 by Rachael Akhidenor, who started it after finding the wellness industry overwhelmingly white, thin and female-coded. It began with slogan T-shirts the brand called "Wearable Activism" and expanded into ethically made apparel and printed "Mental Wellbeing Tools" such as card decks and journals, sold direct and via wholesale stockists. Its site now states the retail brand has closed after five-plus years; the business continues as Self Care Wellbeing, an organisational psychology and workplace wellbeing consultancy.
