UGG makes sheepskin footwear, apparel and accessories from a base in Goleta, California. Australian surfer Brian Smith started the label in 1978, selling twin-face sheepskin boots to Southern California surfers; Deckers Outdoor Corporation bought it in 1995 and still owns it. The Classic Boot, Ultra Mini, Tasman slipper and Goldenstar clog anchor the line, and the brand works with designers and labels including Telfar, Palace, Feng Chen Wang and Madhappy. Recent seasons lean on shearling-lined mules, platform silhouettes and outerwear alongside the core boots.
