doublet

doublet is a Tokyo-based label founded in 2012 by Masayuki Ino, formerly head of shoe and accessory design at Miharayasuhiro, alongside pattern maker Takashi Murakami. The brand reworks streetwear basics — T-shirts, hoodies, denim, knitwear and footwear — using experimental textile development, deconstruction and visual jokes such as trompe-l'oeil prints, oversized embroidery and novelty graphics. Ino won the LVMH Prize in 2018, the first designer based outside Europe to do so, and the label shows in Paris. Footwear collaborations with ASICS continue alongside seasonal ready-to-wear.
