What to know about Patrik Ervell

Patrik Ervell was a New York menswear label from the American designer of the same name, a Berkeley political science graduate who showed at Opening Ceremony in the mid-2000s and won the Ecco Domani menswear award in 2007. Collections paired minimal, utilitarian tailoring and sport outerwear with unusual materials: gold foil, vintage parachute nylon, iron- and copper-oxidized dyes, horsehair, rubber raincoats and splash-dyed silk, plus a running fabric collaboration with Maharam. The label stopped after its Spring/Summer 2018 show, when Ervell became men's design director at Vince.
