Anonymous Ism

Anonymous Ism is a Japanese hosiery label founded in 2002 by Hirotsugu Yoshimura, which began as an OEM producer knitting socks for other brands before launching its own line. Everything is made in Japan on vintage low-gauge knitting machines, giving the crew socks their slubby, hand-loomed texture. The range covers tie-dye, slub jacquard, ribbed cable, patchwork and Navajo-style patterns in cotton, linen and wool blends, with military, workwear and traditional Japanese textile references and minimal external branding. It sells mainly through specialist menswear and Americana retailers worldwide.
