By Parra is the clothing label of Dutch artist Pieter "Piet Parra" Janssen, born 1976 and based in Amsterdam, who started the line as Rockwell before rebranding under his own name. Collections translate his hand-drawn vocabulary of long-nosed figures, distorted female forms, block lettering and flat pastel-and-primary palettes onto graphic tees, hoodies, fleeces, workwear jackets, corduroy trousers, caps and homeware. The brand sells through its own Amsterdam shop, webshop and skate and streetwear retailers, while Parra continues gallery work and footwear collaborations, notably with Nike and Nike SB.
