La Paz is a menswear label founded in Porto in 2011 by friends José Miguel de Abreu and André Bastos Teixeira, named for the Portuguese word for peace. Collections take cues from the Atlantic, its fishermen and explorers, reworking classic staples: linen and cotton shirts, striped tees, chunky knits, sturdy outerwear and relaxed trousers in muted coastal tones. Garments are made in Portugal with local manufacturers and suppliers. The brand operates a store and showroom on Rua da Reboleira in Porto and stocks independent retailers internationally.
