Menswear label founded in 2017 by Tokyo-born designer Kozaburo Akasaka, who studied philosophy before menswear at Central Saint Martins, took an MFA at Parsons, and worked under Thom Browne. The label pairs Western tailoring and hand-finished, heavily worked denim with Eastern spiritual references, plus signature curved-heel boots and knitwear. Akasaka won the 2017 LVMH Special Prize, was a 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist, and staged his New York Fashion Week runway debut soon after. Recent seasons, including Spring/Summer 2026, treat garments as everyday martial-arts uniform. A second line, Wave of Sand, runs alongside.
